I think that education in US is better than in UK in uk it just seems superficial where only rich people shall study

I once asked here if I should pay $ 30000 yearly for fees in university and a man said I am ridiculous
whatever you study, just make sure your degree gives you some marketability so that you dont end up stirring coffee for minimum wage while paying back 100,000 in school loans.

It was cheaper until say..5 years ago?
i'm doing open uni so i don't have to pay all the extra/can work at the same time.

@Pianist1234 Aye, my friend went to university in London, came out in 10s of thousands in debt and though he worked outside of his course he couldn't afford to finish so he came out with nothing but debt.

Almost 50% of students in the UK go on to attend university and I can assure you that most of their parents wouldn't be classed as rich

@Pianist1234 I am not sure what the average fees are but I would think something around the £10,00 a year mark and a lot of students here take out loans to pay for their education once they finish their degree and start working
