Where do you get the motivation to wake up each day?

I will tell you only because you asked.I've lost everything that mattered to me both in war and in peace;I lost friends in Vietnam,my wife died 8 years ago from breast cancer,my family and friends have all passed on,my rescue dog "Baby" had to be put down 4 days ago.What motivates me? There's SO much to be done! I'm a disabled veteran;i seek out the homeless to feed and shelter as well as stray animals to rescue and care for and in reality,all you can do with your life is give it away,expecting nothing in return.Someone once said: "Blessed are those with no expectations,for they shall never be disappointed".I hope my frankness has not offended you and best wishes!
