Are animals used to help disabled people in your country (seeing eye dogs for the blind, for example)?

I think it's great and fine...if they are a real service to their owner. There are people now though that will try to pass off their pet as a service animal for whatever reason they can come up with (there is this guy where I live who goes everywhere whit a cockatoo on his shoulder, even into stores and restaurants claiming the bird is a service animal🤔🤨).
