My suspicions have been confirmed

It’s Barrett’s esophagus.
This is what 10 years of damage from bulimia does.
Take care of yourselves, your body matters, all that jazz.
Pretty fearful about the future. Pretty much forseeing my death as esophageal cancer.

I am so sorry about your condition. There is still lots of hope here. I have read that less than 1% of people with Barretts develop esophageal cancer. Also, esophageal cancer doesn’t have to mean a death sentence given that the survivial rate is 90%. If you keep visiting the doctor regularly (maybe twice a year) to get a tissue biopsy to check for cancer then your chances of early cancer detection will increase. If you do happen to develop cancer and can start treating it early, then your outlook for survival looks very good. (Ironically, I just turned in my case study about early cancer detection a few hours ago)
