Trolling online isn't making people angry. The best trolls out there will leave you feeling fine. You won't realise you were the butt of the joke.

It's all about a little manipulation. Make someone think you're serious about something. And get reactions. Yes sometimes that reaction is anger. But it's always best when you can convince someone that something so absurd can be believed or thought by someone. Making the rediculous sublime.

I tried your method - once. And what did I get? Some idiot who insisted on having the last word and telling me I was stupid and didn't know what I was talking about (but I did). Finally, I told him he was a disciple of St.Jude (who is the patron saint of hopeless cases),and wished him a good day. Well, you would have thought I told him to jump in the lake. He wrote me back, calling me the "B" word, the "C" word, and telling me to eat the "S" word. What was the point in all that? I tried to be serious, and I got trash.

@Overwatch6 just talking shit isn't trolling... I really dislike the way Facebook gained popularity and everyone just called people who are idiot jerks trolls.
