If i ask some one to borrow money, and they agree, but only if its not for booze....

.... But i end up buying booze with some money I had but didnt tell them about, does that mean I broke my promise?

Money is a fungible asset so you can't say you spent your money on booze and their money on baby food - it's all interchangeable.
