If as Trump claims Mexico is paying for the Wall why does he need Congress to hand him $5 billion to build it?

[c=#359E00]US is the one with the idea to build a wall, why is Mexico the one who need to pay for it??[/c]
[c=#359E00]this is getting more stupid, where is the logic? This guy is ridicilous[/c]

@YukikoAmagi Exactly

Typical liberal, bringing reason and logic to a shit-throwing fight
Dlrannie · 31-35, F
@firefall How appalling of me to do such a thing 😂
GlassDog · 41-45, M
I keep waiting for a news story to surface where, inevitably, some of those who work on a wall will be Mexican labourers and will take their wages back to Mexico, meaning that rather then Mexico paying America to build the wall, America will have paid Mexico.

@Budwick I should state that I'm looking at this as an outsider, as I'm not an American. I'm interested in your political model and process, but don't have the experiences or media influences that Americans would have, so I tend to look at things evidentially only.

In this case, I really was just thinking about the potential irony of the situation as opposed to making a political statement. As a manager, I seem to spend a lot of time making things watertight and predicting/preventing situations where my staff could be criticised. I'm sure at government level, this is exponentially more important, and it has surprised me that nobody has made the accusation yet (whether unfounded or not).
@GlassDog That is basically what will happen, except that U.S. taxpayers will pay for it. Trump supporters deserve to pay every penny for the wall they want. It’s everyone else here who is being robbed.

@GlassDog Glass - I appreciate your disclosure!

Presicent Trump has turned our political model and process upside down! For decades the media (which has been and continues to be more left / socialist) has made a living busting the chops of republicans. Republicans (many, not all) over time responded by becoming less vocal and more apologetic and left leaning. They would talk a good game on the campaign trail but vote to keep themselves from being lambasted by the media. It's the very reason why Trump was elected! To stand up to the media, to fight back. He's done well in my opinion.

Trump and his every move and word are under 24/7 scrutiny. If someone in his circle farts in public - it's front page news. Given the size of government and viciousness of MSM, 'watertight' isn't possible. And, given the growing number of people willing to look at socialism as a new direction - they simply echo what ever the MSM has been saying.

The future of the USA and I dare say the world depends a great deal on the success or failure of Donald Trump.

@YukikoAmagi More ignorance I would say

@Dlrannie He's a bigger snowflake than the rest of us, that's for sure.

Trump runs on a concoction of bravado; belligerence and bullshit.
The three phases of everything he says and everything he does.

@PainfulTruth Troll away. There'll be plenty to call you out on your b/s.

Politics is never that simple. Trump made it pretty clear he was going to raise the money through taiff's on Mexican business, tax cuts and Mexican contributions. These are all long term measures which will gain back the money.

Your missing the point of replacing all these illegal immigrants with tax paying citizens, these are the measures which will easily pay for the wall in the long run.

I am puzzled why you would be against a wall? Who sneaks over the boarder to enter a country?
xixgun · M
Stepping around the anti-Trump sentiment, I believe it's a "we pay initially then are repaid by not having to spend hundreds of billions taking care of Mexico's citizens" type thing.

TheCensoredBrot · 31-35, M
@xixgun You posted it on a social media site, snowflake.
daisymay · 51-55, T
@xixgun That's not what he said. He said "Mexico will pay for the wall" not "Taxpayers will pay for the wall and will be reimbursed by Mexico". Try again.
The short answer is: Because Trump is a liar and a con man.
Actually, that’s the bottom line. 🙂
Why not? People will believe him and that's all that matters.
TheCensoredBrot · 31-35, M
@MistyCee Reminds me of Germany in the 1930s
@TheCensoredBrot Or Jim Jones or Warren Jeffs. But a kinder way to look at Trump supporters is to see them as non-tranactional.

Yes, I wonder 🤔
He'll claim it back later.
