My father would never buy anything but a Chevy. He said Ford was anti-Semitic, Henry Ford that is, and Chrysler were greaseballs. My fist car was a Ford, my present car, 54 years later, is still Ford. Unfortunately, my next probably won't be. I like driving a CAR and Ford announced it will stop making cars.

@MethDozer I realize that the manufacturers believe that they have data supporting the contention that the crossovers sell and sedans don't. I am stuck with that, although I don't understand the attraction. I have driven several crossovers and prefer the feel of a sedan, I will have to learn to like a crossover.
MethDozer · M
@samueltyler2 You're past your adventure and parenting stage to though. The crossover is the family station wagon these days. Or a more car like minivan.
Sedans and coups sell, just the American manufacturers shit the let the Euros and Japs take the market.

@MethDozer we had our minivan when the kids were young. My wife loves her Audi Q5. I like my Ford Fusion plug in hybrid.

With your name I would have expected Jeep to be listed!
So having a TJ and a JKU I'll do a write in for Jeep.

@Jeephikelove true, as a kid I was a Chevy fanatic. Then I moved to Ford. Now I enjoy trail riding in my tj.
However for the ones I don't work on I go for the best dealer service department. Right now for me that's Chevy. They service my jk as well as a Chevy bought there.
I do my own work on the tj.

@samueltyler2 for the most part yes. It's really the tj I prefer. Body on frame construction and pretty tough.
Mine totaled a crown Vic and just got a flat and a few dents. Was laid on it's side with no damage. All while being a daily driver and occasional trail rig.

@tzzzzr my first was a ford falcon, it had a truck engine, manual shift. it just about couldn't be stopped by anything, snow, sleet, you name it. .

Chevy only seems to make rode trucks. I want something I can take off road and rock crawling.
gregloa · 61-69, M

I bought an F-150 a couple of years ago, and I’ve been extremely happy with it.
Jeephikelove · 46-50, F
That’s good @SW-User
I can be just as perverse about cars, and I'm driving a Buick. (Until I get my Bentley)
indyjoe · 56-60, M
If it runs good, looks good, and is comfortable to drive/ride in...it doesn't matter.
Ford truck and jeep
Jeephikelove · 46-50, F
Really? @Callmewhatyouwill
@Jeephikelove yes. Old Ford with the 302 and jeep with i6.
Have and drive both. But the Ford is down for it's 20 year 500,000 miles service/update.

@Jeephikelove thinking about getting rid of the Rubicon and getting something with the same motor...and no manual option, or 4wd option even...😣 And sliding doors, but the same motor so it can do the same things right?? Oh wait, can't remember the last time it was on a gravel road so yes
