What is the oddest blood line you have, in your heritage?

Perhaps a heritage on the other side of the planet from you?
Thevy29 · 41-45, M
Mum's family on both sides were convicts.
Dad's family line had been here long before Europeans came here. Apart from the Wanker who came to Australia as a Settler. Met me Greatx8 Grandmother. Knocked her up then abandoned his twin boys when she died in childbirth. We crossed him off the family tree.

My ancestors makes me a mosaic of world lineages.
Some of them were not even typical at the places they came from.

Arabs, from North Syria.
Within them, a half with the looks that people associates with: Tall, strong contextures, dark hair.
The other side: Arabs with green or grey eyes and a lot of readheads and blondes.
The most peculiar about is that their "family" tonge is not Arab but...the old Aramaic! (while they use standard Arab language for wider social interactions).

Fom the UK side:
Scotland highlanders.
And british from York, Tynemouth, with a curious tradition of nordic / viking like first names.

A branch of the family came from Italy.
Up in the mountains and near Switzerland.
Their dialect, words and accent is strongly French related.

So, as you can see, a patchwork mix!

Wow you are quite a mixture@CharlieZ! Yet you live in a country made up of different ancestral backgrounds. Practically every country in the world is represented there. Thank you for sharing! ☺️

A strong Scandinavian connection keeps showing up in the DNA analysis, but I haven't found the person who provides that link. I can prove most of the other European connections, but not that one.

The one that was most surprising to me was that I have a bit of Southeast Asian ancestry (in addition to Irish, Italian, Greek, Spanish, North African and Middle East/Caucasus).

I choose to discard it.
You know how blood gets diluted during war.
