Would you prefer to be a research scientist or a senator?

Research scientist. I couldn't stand being around all those disgusting, lying, cheating congress people.

I can't remember who supposedly said it -

"Don't tell my mother I'm in politics. She would die of shame. She thinks I play piano in a brothel."

Politicians are like diapers. They smell and need to be changed often.

Scientist - I like the simple life.

Research scientist. I work alongside them and have collaborated. If you pick the right area, I can't think of anything more exciting.

I was a research scientist for years. I'd give Senator a go but we don't have them.

How about Senator after one retires from research science. The Senate needs more informed people.
