I enjoy Christmas for what it is and has been in my experience. A family in a house in the country making the house pretty, making good food together, making music and enjoying those huge and rare oranges in the hunting socks hung on the mantle.

They do such a great job putting everyone in the holiday spirit. The official start of the season is during the Thanksgiving parade when a few of long standing floats are now suddenly racist.

I ignore it as much as possible. At least the supermarket doesn't play the religious Xmas songs anymore....
