I got a call last week that payroll over paid me

Like 630.00. From 2 months ago or something. That's a bunch of crap.. Ugh if I pay before 3018 ends I will pay less than that amount.. If I pay 2019 I pay more.... And there is only 2 pay checks left this year for me. Not a good time Christmas season is not the right time.. Well no time is but definitely not now ugh

It’s their mistake and they should take it back over time so it doesn’t have too large an impact on you.

They won't take it back in a lump sum but by small instalments.

@michgirl75 they can't take more than you owe back. That would be illegal. This was not a loan. This was their payroll mistake. Find a lawyer for a free consultation.

@katielass no... I guess it was few different checks so they just gave me the total for all 3 or... Actually I don't know how many... Paperwork said multiple discrepancies... I am in the dark with what pay dates... And to look at my work schedule to see myself what happened... I only know this! Oh and that when I forgot to punch out one day then returning to work next day punched in making it appear I worked all those hours.. Yet the person who deals with submitting hours to payroll does in fact get red flags to check into whatever those flags mean and I guess failed to do whatever they are supposed to do and put in with the total. Maybe I am stupid but figure a flag would have them check into it first IDK that's just me
