Have you had lucid dreams?

I’m getting them every night, trying to enjoy them but just end up terrified and exhausted. I experience the ‘false awakening’ at least twice before I can actually get back to my own bed 😔
it’s so weird, advice pls 🤯

Aww, poor lady. I can only speak to my experience. Before bed, I must be careful what I eat, make sure that I have made amends with anyone that I need to, and check to see if I am thinking of unfinished business. Otherwise, I will not sleep well.

I had a dream the other night where some fellow murdered and ate his mother, because she'd been sexually abusing him for years and he finally snapped.

@SW-User It was really sad. In the dream he didn't have many friends and he wasn't very good at school, but he'd worked REALLY hard on his metal work project, and this other kid destroyed it. And he finally snapped.

I used to. I wish I could live (and re-live) one of them again and again..
SW-User
@SW-User Yes. Not always but still... And that's what I miss.
SW-User
@SW-User hmm I feel like I’m getting good at the ok I’m gonna wake up now part, but don’t have the skills to choose anything during it yet lol
SW-User
@SW-User Yeah it's hard to alter them I guess. I mean...I don't know how some people do it, it was just luck in my case. But I wish I could do that every time I had one.
SW-User
Yes I have. I experimented with lucid dreaming in the past and kept a dream journal.

@SW-User Were they always pleasant or did you get really scary ones?
SW-User
@SW-User They were always pretty much pleasant. If they got nasty I was always able to wake myself.
LadyAlera · 26-30, F
Interesting. Would u be able to describe one of these dreams?
SW-User
@LadyAlera I can remember every detail when I wake up! It feels like a massive quest to get back home
LadyAlera · 26-30, F
@SW-User Well usually there is a connection between your dreams and what's going on in your life. I do know that the feelings you have in your dreams are very important in learning what they mean.
SW-User
Exhaust yourself physically throughout the day >_>
SW-User
I haven’t in a long time
As well as not good sleep either
SW-User
Night terrors ... . If they persist you can get medication
I wanna have one, but never have
