Thats the premise of the series "A Man in the High Castle", I believe it was a book series that Amazon turned into a show.

Nazi's won and the US was split between Germany and Japan.
@Pherick I’ve seen previews. 🤔

@bijouxbroussard I think its in its 3rd season now, I watched the first episode, it was interesting, but honestly, it was hard for me to believe. Nazi's winning in Europe is one thing, but to invade mainland US? Thats a whole different ballgame.
@Pherick I read something years ago where Hitler had that as a long range plan for his Third Reich, and based on the political climate here at the time he expected his ideas to be palatable to a majority of people here.

@Pherick There's enough proof, that some of the primary scientists, on their nuke program, were purposely delaying the program. In theory, they could have come up with a nuke, before we did, smuggled it into the US, and detonated a few, near the Pentagon, and the Capitol, wiping out our ability to react to an invasion.

The landing on the Normandy beaches could have failed. That's another plausible scenario.

@Northwest I guess I was more thinking about overall numbers, though the nuke's are a good point. Even with our government in disarray though would Germany have had the troops to invade and occupy the US?

@Pherick Propaganda. They would have been able to convert enough Americans, to join the Aryan nation. In 1939, 20,000 Nazi-supporting Americans, filled Madison Square Garden, for a rally.

@Northwest You think so? I mean sure maybe some would have had Nazi sympathizes, but to endorse a foreign invasion? Ack!
Northwest · M
@Pherick They would not see it as a foreign invasion. They would see it as a "correction", sort of making American white again.
