Have you ever been on the wrong side of karma, and just accepted your punishment. Or did you kick karma right in the ass. LOL

I was asked by the North Carolina work commission if I was self employed or if I worked by the hour,,
I kept records for my own use ,how many buckets of mud we used ,how many screws ,how much tape ,how much mud it took to make up texture ,,
how many boards was in each house ,how many square square feet ,if it had vaulted ceilings ,cathedral ceilings ,wrap around stairs ,,if it was post and beam ,,who the home owner was ,,who pulled the permits ,how many inspections
I wanted to be a contractor ,,I took notes on everything and how much I got paid ,,how much he made me pay per hour for insurance ,,he charged me to work
And paid me by the hour ,,,I am loosing everything ,and he is fighting me using my workmans comp ,,he does not want a claim on his perfect record

The interview was recorded ,and they cut it off
They asked had I seen the news ? I said no ,they said 5 contractors I knew were going to prison ,,they were arrested on the job
Working men by the hour ,but not covering them with insurance and taking out taxs ,paying their social security ,,its felonies
He deducted all that from me ,but never paid it in ,,
Now when we turn the recording back on ,this is on the record
My Preacher told me to tell the truth ,let the chips fall where they may
But this is family ,,,Did you work by the hour or were you self employed ?
I said self employed ,case closed ,,they found for my Uncle ,denied my claim
He laughed ,,said I lost ,,tried to black ball me
I took all his customers ,my people were completely legal ,,and he died of cancer ,,,no one there that give a crap about him ,,,He treated his kids like employees ,,,well when they were no longer getting paid ,,they all seen how he did me ,,,He let me loose everything ,,even my wife
But I got a new start ,,,he got what he sowed

@rckt148 oh wow, took your Social Security and you didn't get credit? How long did he do that? Glad you took his customers, you did the business right and made money and didn't get greedy.

covered all my people ,made sure tax's were paid and social security
But I worked for the Rail Road so they went back on that ,,but what I paid in under him was much higher than I paid for the rail road ,,so yea I got burned a little .
They said I had paid enough quarters in by 21 to get credit and not need SSI
I would get my SSDI ,,but all I lost fighting for it
And I did build several of the homes he was suppose to ,(these homes you can be on over a year ),and my crew followed me ,,though some of them I should have left with him ,,when I needed a place to sleep they did me wrong too ,,,so as it turns out they basically worked for me all along ,he disavowed all of us ,,but he got what he had coming
I have a good name and lots of people that would have helped were it not for my pride I could have called on to save me and my home ,maybe my marriage ,but I lost my self esteem for a while ,faith in humanity ,if family can screw you like that ,who can you trust ?,,,
my brother caused me to be audited and caught for tax evasion when I worked for him ,,I was paid in cash ,,but when he filled bankruptcy ,his wife kept records on how much I had been paid ,he threw me under the bus too
I kept records that could have burned them all ,but I am loyal to people
I take the fall ,,but now I CYOA a little better ,,and I have told my kids to always do it ,just in case ,and it saved my ex too ,,she got paid
We save every receipt ,accurate records
I ran my music career like a business too ,,I learned a lot the hard way
I learned how to build a case for the government and not screw it up
I should have been as wise dealing with family
