will things never be the same like 2009-2010?

yes i know i was in 4th grade that time and now i am in 1st year of college and 17 yrs old but i remember in 2009-2010 we went to many places like Pondicherry, Belur, Halebid, Tirupati. and also almost every weekends we used to go to zoos and botanical gardens but nowadays we hardly go anywhere for trips. yes now i am 17 that time i was 8-9 but atleast why cant the year be like that?
