Can I just go ahead and say I know this site was built in the same idea as Experience project but is it just me or is this site worse just slightly

But still.

EP was way, way bigger. There's now a huge issue that with EP having shut down years ago, it's hard to have exact memory of how it was, it's colored by people feeling whether worse or better. The statements on mission, the clear ToS and things like instructions on respectful replies are gone.

SW does seem to be an attempt at pretty closely cloning how EP functioned, down to EP's late focus on Q&A and shorter posts, with no improvement or innovation so far. That doesn't figure deeply into the "better/worse" issue, but honestly with the years that have passed, you'd think there'd been some deep innovation.

EP site-architecture was AJAX:ified and heavily dynamic, while SW is mostly static pages, which is like a decade backwards but to the end-user I guess it doesn't mostly matter. It does make me wonder about the underlying pieces and flexibility.

For the most part though it's just that SW's userbase is so small and apparently dwindling, but IMO it's hard to argue that anything about SW is better than EP, unless you happen to be personal friends with the staff (Which is easier with smaller userbase). Still, there's no going back, a few of the same users.
The architecture of the site is quite excellent. There are not many websites where the admins take a personal interest in assisting their members (as I have witnessed on many occasions) and who tolerate the abuse from members who criticize them. I must suggest to them to 'rule with a rod of iron'!

The software is more limited. Ep was more about the regulars and such too. They payed more attention to each other, and naturally had better chemistry because of that.
