Had a woman tell me I don’t look like my picture?

So just started a new job at a large tech company. I updated my profile picture for outlook/email. I spoke to an executive who I shook hands with on my first day, don’t remember her but what’s so strange is today in a conference call, she tells me “wow you look NOTHING like your profile picture” I’m a little surprised.. I mean I’ve gained about 30 lbs after having a baby, but other than that and a few dark highlights in my hair I can’t even wrap my brain around that.. PLUS why would you say that to someone? I just tried to play it off and say “oh really? Gosh maybe it’s my hair” and laugh it off but It’s really messing with me.. do you think she was just trying to be caddy? or maybe there is some legitimacy and she’s just a person who has no filter and openly says that sort of stuff? So odd would appreciate any opinions

Could be anything. Maybe she's someone who doesn't have a filter. Maybe she was trying to pay you a compliment. I say that because most people don't like their official pictures:I know I hate mine. I'm constantly baffled that I get let through passport control because in real life I'm much nicer than my photo

@damselfly Haha, my pictures look like hell too. I look much better in person.

Since you mentioned a tech company I'm going to assume your "looks" have nothing to do with the job.
Maybe it meant something, maybe it didn't, maybe she's just socially inept.

Have you gotten to know anyone there, well enough to ask?

Ummmm. She might be opening a door.

@Brassm0nk3y I mean if you get the job. She might be planting a seed.

I see. Yes, I got the job. It was my first day when I met her. Thanks for chiming in! @carsonfry
