Wasnt forthcoming about lack of degree, is that bad?

I was in college full time for 5 years. I got pregnant my last semester, and also had a mental breakdown at that. I ended up leaving with over 140+ college credit hours. Thats almost enough to be halfway through a masters program; However, as of a few years ago I had literally 6 hours (2 classes) left to finish my degree. It hasnt ever held me back. Now, Im about to get this job at a huge tech company - And they liked the fact that I studied Sociology for 5 years. It says on my resume So and So University B.S. Sociology - 2006-20011 (5) years. Which to me at the time, meant I was in school for 5 years working towards that degree. During my interview, they have not flat out asked me if I graduated, I havent said anything that says I have graduated either. He did say to me at one point.. You studied sociology right? I said Yes, 5 years at So and So school. Ive been all excited until it JUST dawned on me... Is it going to hurt that I havent flat out come out and said Hey I still have 6 hours left technically to have a degree.. According to the job description, it ISNT required to have a degree, or even preferred. So im finding myself in this odd gray area. Im worried, I could get into it now - And it could turn into some sort of a situation. Thoughts?

Be honest. You had a baby and other health issues which sidetracked your education and you've just not found the time to complete it towards a degree.

Total, I have enough college credits and education to have (yes, feel free to laugh) an Associate's Degree/Vocational Degree; but I have no magic piece of paper to satisfy most tie wearing assholes.

When they ask me, "Why don't you have a degree?", I just say, "Life intervened."

Didn't you have to ever fill out an application that asked specifically what degrees and certifications you had?

@DunningKruger No I didnt. The job description says that it doesnt require a degree, On the application there was not a space for this; the application was online though so I may still have a "formal application" that if I fill out will make sure not to put that I graduated on there.

Now shove those doubts deep down inside and never bring them up again.... ever.

Take the job if it's offered then Go to an accredited online university and finish your degree...

I don't think they are going to look into it. As long as you didn't write "Bachelors in"... then you're not lying.
