I'm generally not a fan since you don't know if the cause of the underlying problem was totally fixed but if the cost is significantly less then it may pay to consider.

that and worry about dead pixels and with screens now an average of 40 to 60 inches thats a lot of pixels that could be dead.

They don't make my type of sat tv thingy anymore they just refurbish
and the refurbished lasted longer than the original device
