was looking at a refurbished tv. would you ever buy a refurbished tv or any other refurbed technology?

Exactly what they said. Factory refurbished. I've been bought a handful of tv's and phones and never had a issue

I'm generally not a fan since you don't know if the cause of the underlying problem was totally fixed but if the cost is significantly less then it may pay to consider.

@badapple yup. There's not much to televisions these days. The electronics are all on a board which they probably replace.
that and worry about dead pixels and with screens now an average of 40 to 60 inches thats a lot of pixels that could be dead.

@badapple There's all kinds of issues that could crop up. That's why I try to buy new when there is a good sale going on.

They don't make my type of sat tv thingy anymore they just refurbish
and the refurbished lasted longer than the original device

Yes, I bought a refurbished laptop for cheap recently. It's been working great.
