I feel like this is going to be my most mixed post, and probably by a lot of the politic fanatics, my most hated post.

But I want my opinion in on this matter. Here we go, guns, the famous topic that comes up everytime a shooting happens. Such a glorious topic ain't it? Well, here's the thing. Take all the guns away, that's a brilliant idea, take the good Samaritan's guns away and I'm sure those gosh diddly dun upstanding CRIMINALS will hand theirs over too because we asked. Now, here's another thing. A criminal and a good person can both have a gun right? Hell, maybe even an identical gun. Two people, same weapons, same attachments, let's say an AR-15 with a extended mag, zoom scope, muzzle break. Both of them have that, both of them are carrying that exact same thing. But what's the difference you ask? One has it in his home for defending his family and community. The other one is carrying it out on the street to kill families and communities. Taking guns isn't the solution because the criminals won't stop. And you know what? Let's say the guns do get taken away, we all lose our guns. What's next? The criminals go back and do things the old fashioned way, we get stabbed? Is that any better? I'm just saying, we ain't gonna get anywhere by taking the guns from the upstanding citizen and hope that the criminals just heed that example.
Welp, I'm ready for the angry messages on how every part of what I said is wrong and how I know nothing. Oh well.

This is a super mainstream opinion and not controversial in the slightest. I would call this opinion 'status quo and very safe'.
@CountScrofula I know that people on the internet though often dread someone having an opinion though

@ThatOneMan Yeah, you're still wading into territory people are happy to argue with and so you're invoking arguments by posting your opinion here so you sohuld be prepared to defend it.

But the US has the most permissive gun laws on the planet. So saying "We should not ban guns" is basically saying "The law as it stands is fine".
@CountScrofula Pretty much, but if I say it in a fancy manner it is suddenly a strange thing
what a brilliant idea. take the guns away from all the law abiding citizens so only the bad guys have them..
thats almost as genius as :give women rape whistles instead of guns, theyd be much much safer...
history dont favor those who gave up their guns well.. just saying..
@TheOneyouwerewarnedabout I hate the people that say, "Let's get rid of guns, guns are bad, guns kill." It's like... No, guns don't kill, the person pulling the trigger is the killer.
i dont remember a society so blase to violence 20 years ago..
excuse me while i go listen to Eminem and snoop diggy dawg slap bitches shoot snitches and sell drugs..

I'd rather be shot than cut
@Virgo79 I mean... That too, but I think I more wanna see criminals that get arrested for shootings not ever get released.

you didn't actually say anything controversial
@SW-User True, but you know how the internet is on opinions.
SW-User
I agree 100%
@SW-User I'm surprised I haven't gotten the hate yet

@ThatOneMan Prepare yourself... it's coming.
@SW-User Oh I await it
Sorry. You'll have to take a number. Everybody's busy trashing John McCain at the moment. Because he's dead. Try again later.
@Mamapolo2016 I'm sure taking something away will solve that, ask the government.
@ThatOneMan I'm not speaking to anybody who was, is, or wants to be government. You talk to 'em.
@Mamapolo2016 Not like they'll listen, what do we know?
The push to implement legislation to disarm citizens is greater than ever. WA state just passed Initiative I1639 last November. It's devastating for law abiding citizens, but it sounds like the dinner bell to violent criminals.
