I swear, as the years go by we as a society can’t handle opposing opinions. And now with some folk if you disagree you become a Nazi... that’s my favorite...

This is generally something held forth by those with truly disgusting and vile opinions, from what I've seen. People are fine handling disagreement in general, but if you're going to unearth some truly barbaric opinions - such as the current wave of white supremacist nonsense - you can't expect people to just tolerate that sort of shit, because it violates essential agreements our society is structured on.
