Perseids Meteor Shower in Full Swing - A Beautiful Showing
Did you look in the sky last night? If not, then do so tonight!
I was outside for an hour and a half and saw 4 meteors, 3 quite large and bright and one small one that I could have missed... but didn't!
It's a worldwide event that can be experienced by anyone who is in or goes to a dark area nearby (less light by cities, the best, obviously) and is fortunate to have clear weather can see nature's most beautiful light show.
Last night was a night that the Perseids meteor shower was visible to anyone worldwide and took the time to check it out. It allows for time for people to gather and gaze at the sky, chat and keep an eye out for these bright, streaming flashes across the sky. And it humbles me to think there is so much more that exists in space and how small we are in the scheme of things.
Tonight, be sure to go outside and take a bit of time to see it if you can. At the very least, you have some amazing time with family and friends or just some quiet time for reflection and meditation as you gaze up into the beautifully dark night sky.
