Honestly if the Rottweiler is walking slow you might be ok. Maybe the blood is from something else like it’s own wound. Generally if animals want to attack they do pretty aggressive actions beforehand.

I would say "Hello doggie" in a nice friendly voice. Most dogs take an instant liking to me because I say that to them.
