Is it alright to not be alright?

It’s perfectly normal.

I live in an apartment complex in beautiful sunny southern Cali.

Half the people here are old senior citizens. They don’t work. Their kids are grown. They literally have nothing in life but their cats and plants.

An they do nothing but complain. About the dumbest shit. They complain about neighbors who talk to loud. They complain about how softly the UPS guys knock on their door, they complain about the water sprinklers, they complain about EVERYTHING. Every time I see them their anything but “alright”.

I think our monkey brains haven’t quite evolved to enjoy easy living. We will always find something to complain about. Might as well be something interesting.
