parents force son to move out at 30 through courts...

The parents are creepy and weird. and why did they wait this long. their son doesn't work. he seems mentally disabled. and the creepy interviewer asked why he can't move out today? how the hell can you move anywhere today? except the street...
SW-User
They offered to help him find a place to live, they offered to give him money to help him, they offered him the opportunity to contribute to helping around the house in exchange for allowing him to live there...
He refused every offer..
time for the guy to go! he's a grown man..
@JaggedLittlePill i watched that and it seems like most of it is changed by who is speaking. they asked him to move in a manner that made it obvious they were going to or had called a lawyer. they signed the notes with legal names. that is how it started. he was busy working on getting full custody of his child and they knew it and got mad because he didn't let them see the child before losing custody. that alone makes me wonder how badly they treated him...it is obvious that they didn't raise him well and that they never wanted him. and he hasn't been living there his whole life. he moved home 8 years ago then lost his job because he didn't want to work weekends so he could spend time with his kid. now he is doing something illegal or embarrassing or both so he wouldn't even say what it is. he has money but he didn't seem to have the wherewithal to take care of himself while fighting a custody battle.

@LILY61
He's mature enough to be a father.. but not responsible enough to hold a job because he wouldn't work weekends?
give me a break...
Responsible adults do what they need to do, including working some weekends..

There certainly seems to be more to the story but I'm not hearing anything that changes my mind..
you said he may be doing something illegal to make money? if true then it's another valid reason for the parents to want him out..

I watched an interview with this guy, he seems intelligent and articulate though a little nervous about being on national tv.
I saw Nothing that suggested to me that he might have some type of disability..
I don't know where that notion comes from unless he himself has made that claim..
@SW-User i don't know if he is doing anything illegal. i suggested that might be why he won't say. but when he speaks he seems like he is autistic or something like that. and the interview with that blonde news lady just made her look stupid and nasty. it didn't reveal anything about him at all.
I read this article. I don't think he had any difficulties except that he preferred living at home to living on his own. I think that perhaps they enabled him by making him dependent. The court intervened and ordered him to move out. I think he asked for a six month period beforehand. It seems that most people in their teens are remaining at home for longer periods of time before moving out to be independent. And then they move back home again. Each parent knows they have to prepare their children to leave home eventually. That is only healthy.
@PoetryNEmotion you seem normal. why are you on this site? but anyway, the news is slanting it and making fun of him and there is a whole back story. i feel sorry for him

We don’t get to grow up and mooch off our parents forever. They offered him help. He’s lazy and inconsiderate and very selfish. He’s not even embarrassed his face plastered all over the news either. He really believes his behavior is justified.
@Keepitsimple maybe it is. and maybe they are the mooches. mybe they made him stay at home and take care of them and when he said "no more" they said "out". And your attitude is a bit harsh. things are getting very difficult out there. if your child and family needed a place to live, i guess they better ask for help somewhere else.

@LILY61 Im sorry. You don’t seem rational to have a discussion with. Have a lovely day!
@Keepitsimple his parents suddenly decided to get even with him because he didn't let them see their grandchild right before he lost custody. interesting that he didn't let them...hmmm...i wonder why? he had a job until two years ago but said he was a devoted father who didn't want to work weekends so they fired him. now he is doing something illegal because he has been trying to afford legal fees to get full custody of his kid. but i am certain that you feel no sympathy for him at all. so you have a lovely day
My future children can live with me for as long as they want. However, attending University and having a career is a must.
@Random1Thoughts that is nice. but what is going on there that they suddenly snap like that. did they get tired of having sex with him and tormenting him became dull
@LILY61
I don't know the details but it's strange to suddenly kick him out.
@Random1Thoughts thank you...a reasonable person is rare to find.

Fox news was makin fun of em
@Goralski fox news is a group of lazy f'ing bums that can't get the news correct. and that interviewer was an idiot. we don't know what he does or doesn't do. and if he lost visitation....why?
nedkelly · 61-69, M

He was mooching off them for all he was worth. He is 30. Never paid them rent or gave money for food. He was a mooch.

He is also 30. You can find plenty of living arrangements with friends while you look for a place. He needs to grow the fuck up. Weird parents or not.

And if he is mentally disabled then they can be charged for neglecting his care. I doubt he is mentally disabled if he took his parents to court.

By the way. He took them for trying to kick him out.
@JaggedLittlePill i don't see him as any of those things and you need to read the articles about the case instead of just throwing out accusations when there is no sign that he is manipulative or narcissistic...
JaggedLittlePill · 46-50, F
@LILY61 ok. Well, I implore you to support your grown son for life. See how that works put for ya.
@JaggedLittlePill i was kidnapped as a child and raised as someone else. i was severely sexually assaulted and beaten and lied about most of my life. i was unable to have children. i married late. i am the nicest sweetest person i have ever met and people treat me like crap because of all of the lies that have been told about me. the FBI and police know all about it and did nothing to help me. THIS IS WHY I CAN SEE THAT THE COURTS AND THE MEDIA HAVE TWISTED THIS STORY INTO SOMETHING THAT IT CLEARLY ISN'T AND THAT THIS GUY IS GETTING THE SHAFT. and at this point, thanks to the media...he will never be accepted as anything but "the guy whose parents legally had him sent out of their house". His parents are assholes...who used this to get media attention and nothing else.

How are they creepy? or do you mean fucked up because they wanna kick out their disabled son
He is disabled so its a whole other thing, he probably has dependent on them his whole life how the hell do they expect a big chance like that to occur quickly
@celine211 they look and act creepy. and he moved home 8 years ago and has been working to get custody of his some back.

Bad parents. Fuck them.
@SW-User i'll say they are and this is all because he wouldn't let them see his child right before losing custody.i wonder why....
