Why do people pay any attention to zodiac sign?

The zodiac signs people usually talk about are sun signs which are only one aspect of your personality. I’m not saying I believe in astrology but for accurate personality descriptions, you have to get a full on birth chart done of yourself....for example I’m a Scorpio sun, Virgo moon and leo ascending.

I don't look too much into it either but to echo the humor of the pic you shared I do kind of laugh to myself when I hear people say "I'm a cancer".

I also pay attention to the amount of piss I take everyday because it helps decide my mood.
