If you mostly play single player games buy the cheaper one they are mostly the same in real life no true differences for someone who has to ask or buy the one that has the exclusive games you need. On the other hand if you have friends and are mostly in it for multiplayer you have to buy the same console brand they own to play together.

@IAMMONARAHIMI you can play any on your own, but you can only play ps4 friends if you have a ps4 and you can only play Xbox friends if you have an Xbox that was the idea. For playing on your own just get what is cheaper it will be fun no matter which one you choose.
Both are good machines. I have a ps4 myself but I think the Xbox is a phenomenal device.

@IAMMONARAHIMI if you already have a person in mind you have to know what console they use, most games do not mix ps4 with Xbox with pc players.
I'd take ps4 over xbox any day, unless you're horny for halo.
