Early morning realization.

when I worked for the rail road we got paid every 2 weeks
a 15 day pay period .
Right after I started working there I came to a sad reality
if I worked 9 days in a pay period I took home decent money
but if you worked 10 ,11,or 12 days ,you only took home slightly more
the 10th day put you in a higher tax bracket
you worked part of the 10th and the 11th and 12th day for free
If you took off with no legit excuse you got demerits
60 and you were fired .
I was given 10 for coming back a day late from vacation when I buried my father in law ,and 15 for an injury I sustained dumping filters the way I was trained
(I was cut and they made me get stitch's )
They laid us off for the holidays ,and we had to re bid our jobs when we came back so they did not have to pay holiday pay ,,talk about a system
The only plus side to it all was when I had to go on disability
I had paid in enough tax's from working for the rail road ,
Social Security paid me top pay scale ,which still was way below poverty level ,
I would have to know what the normal scale was

Shhh there are enough depressed people here

The government does come in for their share.
