Do you think all road vehicles made after 2000 should be scrapped and replaced with ones made before 1980?

Most vehicles made before 1980 seem to have disappeared in mysterious and no doubt sinister circumstances. Let's bring them all back to replace today's hideous monstrosities.

Yes, the old designs were gorgeous and so artistic.

70's cars were the worst cars ever made

Didn’t disappear mysteriously, they disappeared because they’re old. A 40-year-old car costs more maintenance than a car payment.

@SpencerMurgatroyd Yeah there are some very nice good looking old cars but I can’t imagine driving a minute 40+-year-old car back-and-forth to work every day. Unless you’re rich enough to throw all that money into it

You'd be lucky to find the parts for an '80's car these days.
And if you're in Europe they'd probably be banned since they wont conform to either emissions or modern safety standards.

i like me some nostalgia, bother, don't get me wrong, but today's cars are just... better

@trocovor well... they get better mileage, for one, assisted braking and direction, way better safety records, they're lighter too, programmed deformation, less emissions; there's a bunch of ways current cars are superior: now, do they make design choices that we can question? are there trends i'd like reversed in car design? sure
