Where’s the most painful spots for a tattoo?

Areola! Just as it is most sensitive (apart from somewhere else that I wouldn't even consider! lol).😲

Anything that is on a less fatty or muscle area, that is going to be closer to bone, so think ankle, elbow, ribs, spine

More padding, less pain. More bone, more pain.

I can tell you for sure the shoulder blade is surprisingly sensitive.

It also depends on the skill of your artist. He/she can do great work or tear up your skin. Calf placement should be routine and not very painful, keeping in mind it is a process that sends needles into your skin thousands of times.

Never tried it but have heard that it is very painful process no matter which part you apply. :) A friend and his wife had tattooed their bums (extremely weird) and they both were down with a fever for 2 days after the permanent tatoo applied.

Calf should be pretty easy pain wise, as opposed to ribs or an ankle or other bony spot.

What about half a heart on the deep inside of both legs.
