The best place to live in the USA?

I am a proud American a true Patriot. I have been in the Marine Corps and I've traveled throughout the United States. I would like to know where is the best place to live in the United States and why?
Mktonght · 61-69, M
I live in Louisville Ky. Been here for a number of years but have also traveled extensively for my job. Louisville in many ways is still a little big city. People are friendly, cost of housing is low and Ft Knox is close for PX privlages
Capt11 · 46-50, M
@Mktonght That is a great answer I like that city also. Good food and a few skate parks. The people are friendly but the women are not as nice as you would expect. I am glad that the construction on the bridges is finally done it was rough therefore a few years.

@Capt11 I moved here from New jersey and before that Boston. So glad i found Louisville.

Tennessee because we still haven't sacrificed our values, most everyone is polite, it's in the South, it's pretty, has good food... I could go on forever.
YoJisda1 · F
@Golds15 Actually, Georgia's the best for all those reasons, plus the team.
Golds15 · 18-21, F
@YoJisda1 Ew, don't even get me started on the Dawgs.
Capt11 · 46-50, M
@Golds15 In the early 90s I thought Memphis Tennessee was the most beautiful place in the world. I remember the Pyramid opened and it was great. The state is huge and it is not the same from East to West. Thank you for taking the time to reply.
First off, thank you very much for your service! Secondly, I think Carmel by the sea, is a gorgeous place to live, it has the best combination of evergreens and beautiful views of the ocean. The environment is both serene and beautiful!
@Capt11 Yes, I'm afraid so, in fact, one of the most expensive in the world, however, if you ever have the chance you should try to take a vacation there as I did. There is so much to do and see and most of the places are free. You won't be sorry sir!
Capt11 · 46-50, M
I definitely will consider that. You make it seem so peaceful elegant and serene. People outside of California do not take the time to view that state like that. I would love to take my motorcycle up the coast I hear it is majestic. I also think Virginia is the only other state that has as many vineyards as California but I am not sure. It has been a pleasure speaking with you I hope you have a great day and please feel free to say hello from time to time.
@Capt11 Thank you very much Sir, I would be honored to be your friend. I too have greatly enjoyed visiting with you. Hope you do get to take a bike ride to the place I mentioned.😜

Hey Capt'n... Ensign Sara here. Currently afloat with the third fleet, but home for me is New England. I have deep connections with Cape Cod, the White Mountains of New Hampshire, and the City of Providence. I can wholeheartedly recommend all three and many other areas of New England depending on what is important to you.
Capt11 · 46-50, M
@sarabee1995 I lived in MA, you are absolutely correct. The fall is beautiful the tress change colors. However, how can you forget about the food, loved those grinders.
sarabee1995 · 26-30, F
@Capt11 Well if food is your thing, then I hope you ventured a bit south to Providence! For a small city, it has big city dining that it's nationally ranked with the best. I spent my four years of university there
hunkalove · 61-69, M
Try Detroit. They'll love you there.
Capt11 · 46-50, M
@hunkalove Detroit was once a very beautiful city but it has changed significantly. I was very saddened when I visited the last time.

Seattle, Wa., I was born and raised here. Its green year round, lots of beautiful scenery, you've got the mountains, desert and ocean here plus a millions lakes and rivers.
SW-User
@Capt11 Yes it has to rain to keep it green, but I like it.

Very expensive here. I'm thinking of moving further away from here as more and more people are moving here making housing rediculously high.
Capt11 · 46-50, M
@SW-User Thank you for taking the time to share that. You make it seem very beautiful there and I look forward to visiting.
SW-User
@Capt11 Do visit and have fun!

Infoman · 36-40, M
Absolutely Boston. Great food, great sports, great climate (if you don't mind snow), easy access to mountains and beaches.
sarabee1995 · 26-30, F
@Infoman Hey! You're back? I thought you were gone from here. How are you?
Infoman · 36-40, M
@sarabee1995 I'm good Sara, thanks. And I'm checking the place out again...thinking of coming back. Can I PM you?
sarabee1995 · 26-30, F
@Infoman Of course! Messages are always welcome from friends. :)
