Toys R Us might be shutting for good. The ending of eras seems to be getting more frequent these days.

They were way overpriced, it was time for them to go.

Poor business model.

Spent too long trying to be biggest and best on trading estates and didn't follow the trend of Amazon and the like by reducing high street costs and going the warehousing/auto-picking route.

By the time they even got to making an online site it looked so cheap it was clearly a late afterthought.

It's just the way the world is changing and how business is conducted. There is no way someone can compete with an online delivery shop which is cheaper and more convenient.

I used to love Toy R Us. Especially the video games aisle where they made the games look super important in the cases

It was KIddie City for me.
