Family sucks sometimes!

Who cares if you've grown up with them, and they're blood. Family is NOT ALWAYS GREAT. They can push you down to the core, and sometimes you just have to remember the person you are before you've been thrown negativity towards you.

I hate my family a lot, but I still love them. I'll just never feel a good connection with them like I used to.

That's why I use a time frame to hang out with them for a little bit and then ditch. I cannot be around my family for a long time, they're meaningless to me, and absolutely suck sometimes. The only person I know that truly care and love me are my mom and dad.

However, I'll always love my family, as I am forced to do that.

yup--I had an alcoholic, abusive father and a kind but cold mother, in a dysfunctional family that broke apart eventually...

@Docdon23 do you all still come together for holidays? I try to avoid holidays because I hate them. I don't like seeing everyone.

my parents both passed away...the rest of us do get together (my kids and grandkids and sister and in-laws)--but sometimes they are tough...I sometimes feel alone even in a crowd...
