So Trumpy Wumpy has started a trade war which will benefit nobody

@Picklebobble2 You have a point about their philosophy, but I don't think it is an age issue. After all, Senator Sanders aligns more with Musk/Gates than the bribers like Tillerson/trump.

@snowbelt But Sanders whole outlook on any number of issues is waaaay ahead of traditional political thinking. Even for 'wooly-mammoth' Democrats !

It was so obvious during the run up to the candidate selection that Sanders was the better of any of the other candidates..... As i've said in other political posts on these pages, gotta take the money out of being able to buy an election, otherwise folk like Trump and Clinton become your only choices !

@JaggedLittlePill There are two parts to this, the solar panel producers, and the solar power installers and companies. The solar panel producers wanted a tariff so they could produce more panels (at higher cost). People who install solar panels and solar systems were importing components from China and other locations that had actually invested in alternative energy. Costs have come down tremendously in the past few years, and many jobs were created doing these installations.

The tariff will have the effect of costing 23,000 jobs for solar system installation and alternative energy companies, due to the higher costs of the panels. The panel producers will produce more higher cost panels, which will improve their business and likely create some jobs. The overall effect will be a net job loss to the US, with higher priced solar systems. So many more people lose than win.
