So my dad died on January 2nd.

Now i’m just trying to figure how to live life without him. Hint: I have zero clue and i’m depressed as heck.

That’s terrible ! I’m so sorry for your tragic loss . Grief is tough ! I lost my parents 3 mo apart ... and I cherished them . Daddy just couldn’t live without Mom. And his will to live life left when she did . That was his choice and thankfully he just passed in the night . They were married 60 years .
When you consider that what happened was inevitable , it’s easier to accept and then focus on who they were . It’s neen 18 years and I still miss them like itbwas yesterday ... but I’ve accepted it . They are always with me and their wisdom that the passed to me Guides me . There’s no magic pill, just get up and get on with your life

I'm sorry for your loss. You don't have to figure it out right away, just give yourself some time to grieve. You'll know what's right for you.

thank you, and I hope so @SW-User

grieving its one of those situations that has no rules, no rule as to how you should feel, how long you should feel it.there are 5 stages they dont always in order ,and not everyone feels all 5 ,like i said its a one on one between you and the loved one past. there is no wrong way , take care english
It's a pretty big gift to be that close to your dad. Most people are not

@Quoththeraven What a shitty ass comment. Yknow what’s a gift as well? Not having a dead parent.
True. Sorry for your loss.
I'm so sorry, I know exactly what you're going through, lost my dad in my 20's was hard as hell. Missing him never goes away, the pain will get better. I wish you well through your struggles ☹

@Somewhereovertherainbow Thank you :( It’s a struggle losing a parent at this age, nothing is stable in my life, let alone losing a parent at this time. Life sucks
@offingg I totally understand... it will get better slowly ☹
offingg · 26-30, F
@Somewhereovertherainbow Not sure it will. My brother has leukemia 🤷🏽‍♀️ Life is just not the best.

hugs. I'm so sorry.
Don;t expect yourself to know right away. Be careful with yourself. And I'm so sorry you have to feel this sort of pain already.

What does age have to do with missing someone? Is there an age limit on emotion as well? Ffs @SW-User
Dad would want you to live life to the fullest.. Go to school, get a job, make new friends..
offingg · 26-30, F
He would’ve but it’s not so easy going to live life after knowing how cruel it can be @JustLikeGreta
@offingg Give yourself time to grieve. its not fun.. But eventually you will move on. Your loss is still new.
MarineBob · 56-60, M
Carry-on is all you can do. Just from now on every thing you do. .. do for him, he is right there with you
offingg · 26-30, F
i’m trying to think that way but i just can’t even imagine him being with me @MarineBob

maybe you can start working at Starbucks, you can make a lot of friends and they play nice music to make you feel happy
smileylovesgaming · 31-35, F
Work to pay the bill's. And you may find your true love to start your own family
offingg · 26-30, F
I honestly couldn’t care less about starting a family. Nothing will replace my own old man. @smileylovesgaming

Sorry to hear it. I think grieving takes time. I suggest you go easy on yourself.
offingg · 26-30, F
It’s like i’m forgetting how to even take it easy on myself. It honestly feels like I know nothing @sometimeslonelytoo
