@bijouxbroussard Bijoux! Let me tell you one thing: Since I am on SW I have NEVER learned here as much as I did today. The all day this shithole-thing went through this site and I have found many, many, really unbelievable comments - sometimes from people where I didn't expect it. I have blocked altogether 10 people today - so many I have blocked normally in 3 months!! And I have the feeling that I am never finished with blocking today... 😒

I get it, Donald is criticized a lot and most times the criticism is attached to his person. I feel sorry for him most times. He is not powerful. It's interesting seeing supporters doing the exact same thing done to him, taking anything he says as true, defending it just because his name is attached to it even in cases when general bigoted statements are made..🙄

@4meAndyou I dislike Trump primarily [b]because[/b] he’s a racist, going back to the days when he and his father were in trouble for refusing to rent or sell to blacks. If he were not the president I’d have little to say about him, he’d be just one more racist out there in the world. But the people who [b]like[/b] Trump because he thinks the way they do, have a vested interest in ignoring the racist and sexist comments he’s made for 40+ years unless they’re ready to admit who [b]they[/b] are.

@bijouxbroussard I do think that name calling is never the way to solve our likes and dislikes. I am concerned that white elites have taken over deciding who is and is not this or that, and bullying or implying that you will name call anyone who disagrees with you is non-productive.

@4meAndyou I’m not calling names, merely stating facts. I’ve been alive almost 60 years; Jim Crow was still the law of the land in many places when I was small. I know what racism is and how deep it goes, how pervasive [b]still[/b]. I’d prefer not to see it, but I’m a realist. And experienced enough that I’d hardly need a “white elite” to explain it to me. 😑
