It's looking increasingly like Trumps State Visit to Britain is going to be ditched - your thoughts?

Picklebobble2 · 56-60, M
As a State visit.....Probably a good idea !
People in the UK have little love for their own government let alone America at the moment.
There are likely to be all sorts of protests and maybe a bit of ill feeling, politically, if he should come.

That said. If they were to make it a low-key visit. A 'Meet and greet' kind of thing, that would probably go down quite well !

A chance to meet the Queen and meet with the Prime Minister and a few others might settle a few nerves and give both sides a chance to state their 'Here's where we are right now'.

That would lessen the chance of misunderstanding and may even cement the odd deal here and there.

But given the Trump administrations 'in your face' international reputation,i can't see him toning it down to make that feasable

I don't really care but I wouldn't blame the Brits for withdrawing the invitation.
I don't want that weirdo in our country. If they do let him in hopefully they won't leave him alone in a room with any women.

@Plain I don't think he's any more dangerous than our foreign secretary
@SW-User looking in detail at the allegations against Trump , including that he sexually assaulted a child, compared to those of sexual assault against Johnson (none that I know of), plus their very different positions on human rights, which Trump seems to have no interest in, I disagree with you.

@Plain ok

There was some uproar and a petition was organised to prevent it happening... In general the UK public are not particularly impressed by him.
SW-User
Don't blame him. No one would want to grope Theresa May
TJNewton · M
@SW-User Who do you want to grope then ?
SW-User
@TJNewton er no one thank you

Don't visit if they don't want you to and at the same time give them zero funding for anything

Didn't know until now, no skin off my back

Maybe it can be a wake up call to some...

I think I'm hungry.
It won't, Sadly

The UK thinks that Trump is nothing more than a political troll.

It's looking increasingly like Trumps State of mind will make him resign and he will end up in the nuthouse
