Do you feel that music often communicates much better than words?

SW-User
yes the melodies engage the brain

@SW-User And the spirit.

I don’t, but I think many do. To me it’s too subjective to convey a specific message because everyone hears something a little different.

@JustNik Do you not feel that sometimes a vague message is truer than a specific one?
JustNik · 51-55, F
@alan20 🤷‍♀️ I just don’t work that way. People aren’t my strong suit though. I need to be hit over the head with a frying pan.

@JustNik Or a tambourine. No, you're the sane one. I used to feel I couldn't communicate with people unless in front of a concert grand. Then, people took me seriously.

It can indeed articulate in a more dreamy way something we find hard to put in normal conversational words.

@SW-User I'm listening to Walton's Ist.Symphony as I type. Definitely nothing dreamy about this. He claimed to have been inspired by the collapse of a love affair. She might have had a lucky escape! The 1st. mvt. is one of my favourite pieces. I didn't write that last sentence.
Not always but in some instances definitely!
