Anyone have a positive experience coming back from maternity leave?

So I'm 30 weeks pregnant and HUGE... first pregnancy. I was a total rockstar with the company I've been with for over a year... up until recently when it just seemed like all of a sudden it dawned on them I'm going on leave in 2 months (they knew but it's like literally one day I came in and my boss had big eyes and said omg you only have 8 weeks left) ... now all of a sudden projects are getting taking a away, I'm constantly being asked if I'm even coming back, comments about how huge I am, why am I still here etc... did ANYONE have a similar experience and then come back from maternity leave to find that it was okay.. and things eventually went back to normal ? Could really use some advice please please
I just posted that I need some advice from my own workplace. I really hate all the drama that goes on.

As far as you go, I'm certain you will be able to keep your job and everything will go back to normal when you go back 馃槉

Wait until the baby is born. Your priorities might change.

@Brassm0nk3y Yeah I hear that a lot from first time moms to be. Then the baby happens and then the maternal instinct kicks in then all of a sudden the job just isn't that important anymore.

I really think this is a stereotype. I know a lot of successful ceos, cfos, business owners who are moms: just because a handful of women do this doesn't mean they all do@hippyjoe1955

@Brassm0nk3y Yup they are successfully ceo while their kids grew up with a nanny instead of Mom and no Dad because Mom kicked Dad out when he couldn't keep up financially. Here is a little hint from someone who has years of experience. In the end it is not the job you had or the career you chased. It is the children you bore and the ones that you loved that will be there in your final days. My mother in law was a career woman. Perfect home two children nice house successful husband. The kids were raised by nannies and the house was cleaned by maids. For the last 20 years I have had to force my wife to go visit her. There is no bond between them. So Mom in law sits in her room in her lonely lodge where she is little more than a potted plant. No one visits. No one cares. My Mom stayed home and raised 4 children. She too is in a lodge. Rarely a day goes by that one of her children or grandchildren don't stop by or take her out for tea. Just wait then decide. Don't throw your life away on worthless things like careers and money.
