Ice Boxes

Today I saw a quiz on yahoo for Baby Boomers, which indicated that they remember "ice boxes" instead of refrigerators. Weren't these much earlier? Does anyone of that generation recall ice men delivering blocks of ice every day?

Refrigerators were brought into production in the 1930s so I doubt any baby boomer knows anything about ice boxes other than what they read or saw in old movies

That's just what everyone called them!
Mainly because our grandparents did!
They kept calling them that years after they had electrical fridges
