Jesus For those who aren't evacuating the current hurricane. - 08-26-2017, 01:37 AM Those people are praying hard and I am sure that if they are Chris

Those people are praying hard and I am sure that if they are Christians that they will survive. Hurricanes, scientifically speaking if we look in the past at what happened in hurricane Katrina, are acts of God that thin the herds of non-believers, Negros, and illegal immigrants. I am embracing Hurricane Harvey. Thank god this is coming to the great land of the USA and that God has chosen the southern coast of Texas to place it!!!! God bless!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm glad you gave me Best Answer for quoting the Bible, with "Jesus wept".

Sadly, I think you've misunderstood my post, since I am far more in line with the rest of the comments than in agreement with you. See, my comment aimed at the nonsense you spouted-- that "scientifically speaking" hurricanes sole purpose is to thin "the herds", which you define as "non-believers, Negros, and illegal immigrants".

I, for one, see TONS wrong with your statement of pleasure at others' suffering.

Let's start with "scientifically speaking". You aren't allowed to use that term, without actually using SCIENCE to prove your claim. Which you didn't. And considering the nature of your statement, you CAN'T use science to prove your claim, because there is no empirical data to support it.

Secondly, your use of the term "herds" to describe the people you feel are worthy of destruction. An interesting choice-- to describe them using a term given to PREY. Which would mean that you consider yourself on the OTHER side of that fence-- a predator. Or you think that God is a predator, since you clearly are endorsing Him HUNTING down and killing off those whom you deem unworthy with a catastrophe that doesn't care what you believe, what color your skin is, or what your legal status is.

Thirdly, the idea that God hates non-believers, Negros, and illegal immigrants with equal fury. I might buy the first one, if I had no understanding of God or the universe, but the idea that "Negros" and "illegal immigrants" are on the "must destroy" list...? Interesting. I wonder, since, "scientifically speaking" hurricanes are God's weapon of choice, why Africa still exists...? Shouldn't there be a GIANT hurricane that hovers over the Dark Continent, scrubbing it free of those pesky humans of the wrong color...? Why doesn't the Rio Grande just swallow the migrants up before they become "illegal"...? By your "scientifically speaking", a permanent line of hurricane strength storms should be lining the Canadian and Mexican borders, smiting anyone who passes without proper identification.

I truly think you missed the whole point of Jesus' ministry. Example: Jesus had a whole passel of demons possessing a man, right in front of Him. Did He destroy them...? Smite them out of existence, this Ancient Enemy...? He could have killed the demons right on the spot, forever cleansing the earth of their corruption. But He didn't, did He...? No, instead of KILLING, He simply moved them into a bunch of pigs, so that they could do no harm.

The power to UNCREATE them, and He does not. There is a reason for that. Once again, we must turn to Jesus' words-- "DO UNTO OTHERS AS YOU WOULD HAVE THEM DO UNTO YOU."

The fact that you are wishing ill upon others only invites ill upon yourself. The fact that you rejoice in carnage and death only invites it upon yourself. Condemn others, and you condemn yourself.

@Truecristian I am so glad that you are looking forward to that meeting with God when you die. It should be very enlightening for you, when you are informed that non-believers, Negros, and illegal immigrants are loved no less than you are. More importantly, you are going to be held accountable for every suffering you have visited upon others, both known and unknown, so you may gain a true understanding of how precious and fragile life is. The most important thing that is going to happen...? You are going to discover that God isn't a fan of those who deem themselves worthy without merit, and suffer from pride, thinking themselves superior or above anything or anyone else.

I haven't even tapped on the fact that the pic of the pale Roman looking guy you have for your avatar isn't even CLOSE to what a Jew born in Israel 2000 years ago would look like. Clue: He'd look a LOT more like those Negros and illegal immigrants you want God to smite on your behalf with scientifically speaking hurricanes...

Mocking the lives of those people involved and trying to help isn't worth the point you're trying to make. I don't know why you feel the need to attack others or what's happened to you, but there are people truly suffering because of that hurricane.

Whatever hate you have towards Christians, there has to be a better way to discuss it and parcel things out than this.

Yeah...no. Hundreds of true Christians die from natural disasters all the time. It isn't just nonbelievers. If these are the acts of "God", then he's trying to eliminate so much more than atheists.

Glad tht you decided to embrace it bcoz the world would be a better place without people like u.A true Christian hopes for the good OF others and see Christ in every human being they meet.

Acts of God is an insurance term, that ye may be the children of your Father who is in Heaven. For He maketh His sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust.

Jesus is gay. Just saying.

@SINAI All this time, what he was really saying was, "Ah, men."
