Yes, since so many here are ignorant of history.

@TheProphet That's actually a very valid argument for this
SW-User
@TheProphet Then it is our job to talk about it so they can learn right?;p
TheProphet · M
@ManicMortuary Sadly it is. Education is not what it used to be.
TheProphet · M
@SW-User Except they have no interest in learning.
SW-User
@TheProphet That is where the problem lies. Ignorance is bliss. Being ignorant is easy.

@TheProphet It's really not, I learned more about US history from YouTube, Discovery Channel, History Channel, PBS, etc than I did from my actual school. They just don't care anymore..they only cared about how we took tests, not what the test, or the material was.

@ManicMortuary I guess I was very lucky in high school. I had phenomenal history teachers.
TheProphet · M
@ManicMortuary I know. It's really sad.

@SW-User I had one very lazy history teacher in HS...Mr. Connors was his name. Absolutely nothing challenging about his curriculum, and I was in honors classes..come on
TheProphet · M
@ManicMortuary I spent 7 years in Europe as a teen and learned to love history.
ManicMortuary · 31-35, F
@TheProphet What made you love it?
TheProphet · M
@ManicMortuary Seeing the castles, churches, battlefields, and the old cities.

@TheProphet We have a lot of historic spots in my state (Delaware) and every time I go into Old New Castle and see the old mansions and buildings, I wanna know everything about them.

@ManicMortuary I had an AP US history teacher and he was really passionate about it. Those of us who paid attention learned it, not memorize it for some test. I remember one project we did was a journal. We had to write as someone from the time period and cover a set of different events. Like we had to understand it and how things were and the attitudes of the time period. It was neat. I got a little carried away though, mine was 44 pages long😂😂😂😂

@SW-User Hahaha!! I would've gotten goofy with it
TheProphet · M
@ManicMortuary It's easy to fall in love with history.

@ManicMortuary Haha it was a fun time, except that I procrastinated and wrote it in 3 days 😂😂😂 my character was interesting to say the least, certainly not a good person XP
