What is the best affordable acne face wash?

I constantly have acne , no matter how well I wash my face and such (probably because of PCOS) . I've tried a few, but nothing seems to work. Thanks .

Have you tried Proactive?

Birth control also helps with acne. My daughter saw her physician about her acne and she prescribed her a mild birth control (because she's a minor, with my permission)and an antibiotic and a moisturizer and her face cleared up really nicely

I just already take a handful of meds for various health conditions and don't want more pills. Also , I'm abstinent so I don't need it .
@antisocialbutterfly well, another pill to digest would bug me too :>
Good luck to your search for what works for your skin.
Just remember to hydrate 😉

What skintype do you have? Sometimes acne is caused by the skin being too dry, so you get a lot of grease build-up.

If you're on a budget, I'd actually try just using a gentle soap, and washing your face with warm water mixed with salt water once daily. Then use an unscented moisturizer that is not overly greasy and absorbs quickly? It's all about finding what works for your face though.

Charcoal masks are amazing as well. I do them once ever two days or so. I use the "Origins" one. A little goes a long way.

I have really temperamental skin too, and the key is really resisting the urge to touch your face too much! I don't know if you do that, but I touch my face a lot as a nervous thing, and I'm consciously trying to stop. It's improved my skin a lot.

Also, drink lots of water! I hope that helps. :)

@caccoon Charcoal masks are terrible for the skin. They dry out natural oils over time.

@Senor714 I'll look into that! I knew the peel off ones were bad that way, but the kind I use isn't quite like that. Thanks for the info, though!

@antisocialbutterfly No problem!

@Senor714 Okay, so I looked into it! And apparently it's the ones that are the peel off type that are bad because they are removing little hairs and sebaceous filaments from your pores (as opposed to blackheads), and clears out helpful oils.

The kind I have is a wash-off type, which I've found has helped clean my pores a lot and make my skin a lot less prone to breaking out, but I will definitely look into it more. I really appreciate the knowledge! :)

Neutrogena oil free acne wash. It's got salicylic acid in it which is great for acne. I never had a zit until after menopause and now my chin breaks out all the time but I use it and it works.

Thank you @katielass

try fresh turmeric paste. it will make the skin yellow for some days though but natural and doesn't cause any side effects. takes time but better for skin...

A mix of Natural aloe Vera and E-400 oil capsules.

Avoid dairy and touching your face throughout the day.

Dairy is a huge contributor to acne.

Try Exposed Skin Care products. They work wonders. At least for me they did.
