On the contrary everybody by definition stays themselves. Otherwise people would shift from one identity to another and it would be hard to function socially. Hence birth certificates define us all. You can cheat and get a fake ID but you are still the same person who was born.
That said of course everybody changes also as life events impact on them - just is the same you.
