How do you find love when being who you are just results in failure?

Do I have to invent an entirely different personality or change myself?
I'm loud my husband is quiet. I wish my husband would speak up more. He said,"Can't change into what I'm not." I'm actually happy he is quiet and easygoing. He calms me when I am crazy.

@MissMollyCharlotte0702 I don't know. People say I'm OK, and then just forget I exist.

Don't stress over it man. You can work on the things you think you should change to be a better person in general (we all have some flaws and need to work on them). But other than that, be yourself and love who you are. The right person will come along one day
You have choices. Change things you don't like about yourself or don't. It's not about others. It's about what you want.

My mom never change her bitchy attitude & found true love at 50
SW-User
@deademostrawberry So I have to wait until I'm 50 for anyone to want me? 😭
SimplyTracie · 26-30, F
Don't change
SW-User
@SimplyTracie I've only seen it since getting help and starting medications; before that, it was just normal for me.

I do think I'm broken. And yes, broken can be beautiful, but few are willing to look past the exterior.

@SW-User I think I get it. Maybe you need to understand too. People here on SW are really not different than those we come across in our personal lives. I read people's posts and what shines most is their kindness and they have no picture.

People will see that about you too. Friendships are rare for most of us. Just be kind to everyone till that special person finds you. And she will.

Just stop caring about finding love from people cause people are selfish most of the time and will just hurt you in the end. You wont find unconditional love from most people. You are luvky if you find one like that. If you want true love look to Jesus. He's the only one who can love you like that.
Exactly what I wanted to say 😋@Firechidist
SW-User
@Firechidist People hurt me anyway. maybe you're right, in a way; I should just stop getting attached to anyone since it always results in pain.
Firechidist · 26-30, F
@SW-User Jesus heals all pain. Trust in Him and He will take of the rest.

We all have better (sometimes that means healthier) versions of ourselves.

We all deserve love no matter what version of ourselves we are, but other people also deserve to be with someone who will make them happy.

Changing, improving, and growing doesn't have to mean becoming someone else.
SW-User
@AmbivalentFriability That's not what happened the last time I changed and "grew".

[c=#7700B2]I will say don't put so much pressure on yourself.. just be yourself and the right person will come along soon enough[/c]
SW-User
@PlumBerries People keep saying that, but nobody will ever give me a chance.

[c=#7700B2]their loss not yours.. just be patient, it will happen for you :)[/c]
SW-User
Thanks :)

How do you result in failure?
SW-User
@SW-User Well, as soon as I'm even seen looking in a girl's general direction (not necessarily at her, just in her general direction) she will use body language to make it abundantly clear that she is not nor will she ever be interested.
SW-User
I mean a many girls do that if you're staring at her and making her feel awkward. I hope you're not staring at them for too long. Also not all girls behave like that. :)
SW-User
Like I said, I'm not even having to stare at anyone for it to happen; just looking in their general direction will do it. And it seems to be pretty immediate a reaction.
SW-User
Just be yourself & the right person will come along 🌸
SW-User
@SW-User People keep saying that, but nobody will ever give me a chance.
What do you think you need to change?
SW-User
@MissMollyCharlotte0702 At this point, everything.

I've dated nice looking guys who were into fitness with money and they were such dicks. Money and losing weight don't buy love unless they are happy.
Starcrossed · 41-45, F
How much do you love yourself?
SW-User
@Starcrossed I do not have an answer for that question.
Miram · 31-35, F
You be love.
SW-User
@Miram That sounds painful
Miram · 31-35, F
@SW-User Just because something is painful at the beginning, it doesn't mean it's not worth it. Pain will always subside. And there is no better place to find love than within you.
