What is the best thing about being alone?

The last time I had any significant amount of time alone at home, when my wife went to visit her son for a weekend, I spent hours — 15, 20 hours — playing a video game. It had been months since I'd had time to play at all, and years since I'd had so much time. It was incredibly refreshing to just do something that I wanted to do, and be able to do it without being interrupted every five minutes, or to feel anxious if I kept at it too long.

Being a parent, it would be silence and not having to care for any one but me.

The best thing? Everything.

It's a rarity that I fully enjoy whenever it happens. I do what I want, when I want, and how I want. I don't turn on the tv, or radio and enjoy the peace and quiet. I enjoy the kitchen staying clean and orderly as well the rest of the house. But mostly just the calmness.

For me, it's being able to be naked and just be free. Even thought it may be for just a couple hours, it sure is nice to just enjoy the silence and freedom.

There is not always time for everything...but to have alone time is also awesome...just being yourself

You can do anything you want and nobody is there to interfere or get in the way

The silence. Everywhere else is noise and distractions.
