Do u listen to rap music at all ?

I do. There is this song called Bad and Boujee...by Migos. Check it out. I don't know why this song is so popular. But it has taken the world by storm. And no hip hop is a culture. Rap is the genre of music that creates hip hop. Get it.
What do you think. Is rap still relevant. ☺

[c=#4C0073]Rarely, I have heard that song; I was unimpressed. I do love Jidenna, Lupe Fiasco, Kendrick Lamar, J cole, and Common. I like Wale, Fabolous, Drake, and Nikki Manaj sometimes.[/c]

@Zonuss [c=#4C0073]I am very selective. A lot of people like Jay-z and I never did. I don't like the negative nature of most popular rappers. I feel it gives those who are looking for a bone to pick something to bite into. I can't agree with that, when the Black image is already so under attack. There needs to be a whole lot more positive exposure. I feel it's on Black people to put it out there. Those that want to show anything but positivity can't do so without black people willing to be publicly negative... I'll get off my soapbox now before I trigger someone. [/c]

@VioletRayne His new album is said to be one of his best. Now before you judge this great legend, Jay Z. Listen to his 444 album. Then tell me if you think he is still a negative image for the black community. ☺

@Zonuss [c=#4C0073]Most people become mellow after they get married and start a family, but what image is he putting out there? What has he done to give back to his community? I could listen to it, but I don't feel its a true change. I think he's just feeding into the consciousness that he see's happening within the Black community.[/c]
SailorMarz · F
Yeah rap is fun to sing along too lol

@Zonuss *claps*

@tupolevtu144 [c=#4C0073]Wooow that's a really incomplete, broad way of viewing it. You can't define Black culture as African culture. Black culture is the culture of African Americans. African Culture is the culture of Africans. That's like saying Mexican culture is just Spanish culture, its not. That is dismissing the identity and contributions of a whole population.[/c]
Zonuss · 41-45, M
@VioletRayne Perfectly said.
cycleman · 61-69, M
so sounds like hatred and dissing everyone and everything in life.
I am horrible in following what even Johnny Cash is singing about in Folsom Prison Blues.... so :)
Zonuss · 41-45, M
@cycleman I know a lot of country music that glorifies drinking, sex, and crime. Just because its under a different genre doesn't make it any better or worse than the other.
Carver · 31-35, F
Yes but very rarely by choice. Usually whenever my girlfriend wants to play her shitty music in the car. 🙄
Zonuss · 41-45, M
@Carver Old school rap is best. ☺
SW-User
