@WanderLustChick And that's not true, either, since men and women look for different things. If women only looked at attractiveness like men pretty much do, then it'd be true. But you're comparing apples and oranges, first of all.

But, women want a lot more than that, and can take or leqve attractiveness, if other qualities make up for it--unlike men. If a dude is butt ugly, but super rich, there you go: tons of models at his doorstep. That wouldn't happen with a rich, but butt-ugly woman. We look at different things.

It's really not more common for men. When both are single. There are a lot more single men, because women tend to get inundated by requests, whereas men have to work at it to find and woo women.

Men are also just generally more frustrated, due to having less opportunities than women--thus, memes.

Female expectation is much higher, to the point where they will dump a 9 in their 20s, because they think they're worth a 10. Then they age, lose their looks, and end up having to settle for a 5 or 6. Very common issue.

Men are just more frustrated, thus louder. And more common.

If women were equally frustrated, then they would be louder about it, and you would hear it more often. But, women still have waaaaaaay higher and way more unrealistic expectations.
