Is it not okay to be way too available?

A friend who's the 'popular' guy in our college and has a girlfriend and a lot of female friends told me this- Never be always available for a girl. Don't always rush to help her. Never pick up all her calls or call her back instantly every time. Girls fall for the bad guys who treat them indifferently :|

Girls fall for a bad guy who treats them indifferently. Women want caring, attentive men. Don't play games. If you are indifferent someone else may come along and pick up that slack and you could end up losing someone you are about

Just be you. Be nice. Show her you care.

@netflixnboxedwine: "Just be you. Be nice. Show her you care."- I'm sorry. That got me nowhere. The advice came from someone whom girls seem to like. I don't get easily brainwashed but he got me thinking today. Maybe there's some truth to the proverb 'Nice guys finish last'. Maybe it ain't time for being nice anymore.

Well, you do what you think is best. I just speak from old lady life experience. The older we get the less fucks we give and the less time we have for people who do not make us a priority and play games with us

Your friend couldnt be more wrong.Just don't be clingy and show her your love like a man

@ZaybGOTHLING: I think I did everything right for a girl and that still got me nowhere. Maybe I was always available for her. I don't think I was clingy though. I feel insecure and I'm wondering whether I'm okay being me or I need to change myself :|

Being there for her was so not problem. It must be something else like lack of compatibility. You should ask them what they like, what they're interests are and fullfil their needs. I know I like to be dominated so if a guy is too nice to do that I'll lose interest in him.
treat someone the way YOU would want to be treated!
@beingawesome: people will not always treat you well in life. that doesn't give reason for you to be a jerk to other people.

I know that. I was just wondering if it hurts my chances if I always make it clear to a girl that she's important to me and I care about her :|
@beingawesome: i don't know it just depends on the person. some people like to be treated badly and seek out the bad types of people but i don't think this is healthy for them.
